Marseillan

The village of Marseillan, near Sète in the Herault department, is a good stop-over for trips on the Canal du Rhone (an extension of the Canal-du-Midi), not least because Marseillan is the home of Noilly-Prat. Vermouth has been made here since the early 19th century, from a secret blend of wine and herbs, and the cellars can be visited by the public.
