Vernet Les Bains

Vernet les Bains, in the department of Pyrenees Orientales, is today a small spa village offering various health and beauty treatments.

In the 1880s, however, it was where all the English jet-set went for their holidays - from royalty to Rudyard Kipling! To make them feel at home, several hotels, a casino, and even an Anglican church were built in this little mountain village.
